Initial Operating Experience

Part One

I have another hurdle to jump this week and it is my IOE, Initial Operating Experience.

It is my on the job training for the airline. I will be tested on this trip to see if I am qualified to be a full-fledged flight attendant.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men. It is a slow growing, potentially lethal disease usually found in men over the age of 50.  Although cases of the disease have been reported in all age groups, more than 80 percent of all prostate cancers occur in men over the age of 65.

October National Cancer Month Awareness

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second most common cancer overall. In 2015, an estimated 231,840 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone. No matter who you are or where you live, understanding breast cancer is important.

MVC Life Stream Blood Drive

On Tuesday October 20, 2015 MVC was visited by Life Stream, a non profit organization that collects donated blood through out Southern California.

The Life Stream employees and volunteers set up their stations by the Lions Den along the side of the Student Activity Center.The blood drive began at noon and lasted for three hours.

Beast of No Nation

Beast of no nation is a chilling yet beautiful film based on a novel set on the life of West African child from an unknown nation who is forced to grow up fast as he becomes a child rebel solider.

I arrive at Terminal 6 and make my way through security.

TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has simplified the process over the past few months so that flight crews are able to get through security more efficiently.

A 9/11 Remembrance

The 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony reached out to the hearts of Moreno Valley College students who visited the Student Academic Service building from 9 p.m-1 p.m.

9/11 is the most iconic day in our nation’s history.  It was when the World Trade Center was bombarded by hijacked U.S. commercial aircrafts, the day that terrorists attacked our nation.
